About Us
In 1952 our founder and Grandfather, J.B.
Baggett, was a pioneer in the recycled bumper business. J.B. was very
successful in the west Texas area working with large bumper distributors.
Following his dream, entrepreneurial spirit and drive to succeed, J.B. moved to
Houston, Tx in 1972 to open his own bumper business.
In 1980, with the business exploding, J.B. hired
his son, Dale Haygood, to oversee the business. With Dale as General Manager, business
increased but a shift arrived in the industry.

Rubber bumpers arrived on the scene.
Keeping up with the changing industry, Dale opened a rubber bumper recycling plant to
go hand & hand with the chrome plant.

In 1990, Dale started exploring the antique
and Hot Rod community. He found tremendous opportunity and need for restoration chrome!
During this tremendous growth period in
chrome restoration, our family experienced two devastating set-backs. In the last 90s,
J.B. was diagnosed with cancer. After a strong and heroic battle, J.B. passed away
in June of 1999. As the family grieved, more bad news arrived. Dale Haygood was
diagnosed with a brain tumor. Though Dale fought valiantly, he passed away at the young
age of 58, in June of 2000.

With the business being owned by the widows,
Bonnie Baggett and Jan Haygood, they called upon their son Brian Haygood and son-in-law
Bobby Baker to leave successful careers to carry on the family business.
When Brian and
Bobby took over, they looked at the way the chrome industry was changing and
decided to go into full-time antique and hot-rod restoration. They were
immediately successful, and are continuing today!
